ELVIS ’68 is a behind-the-scenes re-creation of the famous black leather suit concert. The script is based on the working relationship between the show’s director Steve Binder and Elvis Presley. The play highlights moments the director experience while collaborating with Elvis’ on the show that has become known as the ‘68 Comeback Special. What was meant to be a typical holiday TV special all changed when a young director convinced his star to do something different. The outcome of that decision would change the direction of the artist€’s career forever.
