Inspired by the campy Japanese Monster Movie Genre,Giant Green Lizard! is a ridiculous farce about three American tourists in a Tokyo Karaoke bar on New Years Eve when a famous monster lizard crashes the party. The producer bills it as “Not since Jerry Springer The Opera has the stage exploded with such mighty fury, such massive spectacle!”
Performed on both of The Maverick’s stages, audiences will have the unique opportunity to witness a man dressed in a lizard suit crushing buildings on a miniature-scale set of Tokyo. The production has eleven original songs, one of which a giant green lizard sings.
Theater owners disclaimer, “If you come expecting a play with substance, you won’t get your money back.”
