Two young men strangle their "inferior" classmate, hide his body in their apartment, and invite his friends and family to a dinner party as a means to challenge the "perfection" of their crime. As they become increasingly more daring, one of the invited begins to suspect.
Based on true events...
The two young men in the play are based on convicted murders Leopold and Loeb. They were wealthy students attending the University of Chicago when in 1924 they kidnapped and murdered a young boy as their perfect crime. They spent seven months planning everything from the method of abduction to disposal of the body.
